According to Lieutenant Steve McDaniel, two men robbed a customer and clerk at gunpoint at the Kum & Go on Southwest Dr. and Culberhouse Rd. around 2:30 Monday morning. Not too far away, the Country Mart on Southwest Dr. was also hit around 11 p.m. Sunday. And, on Saturday, two men also robbed Firehouse Subs on Southwest Dr. at 10 p.m. Saturday.

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – The man charged with first degree murder of a Caruthersville Police officer appeared in court Monday.
According to the Pemiscot County Prosecutor's Office, 29-year-old Deonta Williamson had his case continued to June 4.
According to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office, Williamson is charged with first degree murder of Officer Evan Burns.
Burns was killed early Tuesday August 16, 2011, when police say Williamson drove a stolen 2002 Cadillac Escalade Pickup truck into the police cruiser of Burns. Burns was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pemiscot County Coroner.
Police say William was fleeing when Officers Richard Altice and Burns, both with the Caruthersville Police Department, when they used their cruisers to block Missouri Highway 84 into the city limits.
Police say Williamson used his SUV to clip the bumper of Altice's car before crashing into Evan's unit. Williamson stopped in a corn field after the crash. That's when police were able to arrest him.
Altice was treated and released from a local hospital, Evans was killed.
Williamson is charged with first degree murder, first degree assault, armed criminal action, tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest by fleeing. Williamson is due back in court on Monday June 4.
