GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WZZM/CNN) - Two West Michigan men have created a specialty guitar as their own memorial of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
The back of Thomas Felte and Don Bremer's guitar is engraved with the names of all 40 victims aboard Flight 93, which crashed in Shanksville, PA.
"When you run your hand across here, you can feel it every one of those letters," Felt said as he stroked the back of the guitar. "You can feel every one of those names. And it makes it much more personal."
The guitar's neck is inlayed with the words, "Let's roll," a tribute to Todd Beamer, who led the effort to overpower the terrorists.
Felte said it brings tears to his eyes when he plays the guitar.
The guitar makers are looking for a place to permanently display the piece.
The duo is also considering using the guitar to raise funds for the victims' families.
