From Arkansas State University
A large number of players from the Arkansas State football team and head coach Hugh Freeze visited local businesses Wednesday morning to thank them for their support to the program. The players and coaches delivered orange juice, doughnuts and gift bags as part of the community service project.
"Due to the outstanding support we receive on a yearly basis from so many local businesses, this promotion and community service project is an annual event we all look forward to," ASU Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing Gleen Hart said. "This service project is another way for us to give back to the community for the all the support they give us."
Different businesses are selected each year, and those chosen to visit Wednesday were Liberty Bank, Regions Bank, First Security, Simmons Bank, Heritage Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dental Solutions, Higginbotham Family Denistry, Southern Home Health Care, Clopton Clinic, Barton's, St. Bernards and Health South.
