JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) – The Arkansas State men's basketball team released its 2011-12 schedule Thursday featuring 17 home games as the Red Wolves will look to defend its 13-game home winning streak against the likes of Missouri State, Southeast Missouri, Kent State, Seattle and Central Arkansas.
"We are excited about the upcoming basketball season and especially the schedule we have in place and the challenges it brings to our team," said ASU head coach John Brady. "I feel our non-conference home schedule is a good one with Tennessee-Martin, Missouri State, Southeast Missouri, Central Arkansas, Seattle and Kent State providing our fans with some intriguing and interesting matchups."
"With these home games spread out through November and December and the way our team played at home last year in going undefeated for the first time in 20 years, we are hopeful our fans will support us in a big way throughout our nonconference and conference schedules. I like our team that will represent our university this year. It has some experience, it has an excellent recruiting class to go along with that experience and we should all expect our team to play well and be a good team provided we stay healthy and nothing takes place beyond our control to set us back. Hopefully, everyone will continue to do their part to help us make our basketball program the best in the Sun Belt Conference."
