Wynne alum Jordan Weaver will walk-on at Arkansas State

JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) – Arkansas State head coach John Brady announced the addition of Parkin, Ark. native Jordan Weaver who will walk-on for the Red Wolves this upcoming season.

"We are pleased to have Jordan as a member of our basketball team this year," said Brady. "He will redshirt this year and have three years of eligibility left. He will play in the perimeter for us and feel he will play a significant role on our team in the future."

Weaver played his freshman season at Iowa Western Community College where he averaged 9.0 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game and shot 38.5-percent from the floor. He also had 49 assists and 25 steals in 26 starts.

The 6-2 guard led Wynne High School to the Arkansas Class 5A Championship game and finished 26-4 in 2010. Weaver averaged 18.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a senior for the Yellow Jackets.

Weaver was a four-time all-state selection and was selected to play in the Arkansas Coaches Association All-Star game as a senior.
