Doniphan man electrocuted after crash

OREGON COUNTY, MO (KAIT) - A Doniphan man was electrocuted Sunday afternoon after he was involved in a crash in Oregon County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Rhonda Miller was driving when she ran off the right side of Highway 160 and hit a utility pole about four miles east of Riverton, Sunday shortly before 3 p.m.

Her passenger, 44-year-old David Conn, received minor injuries in the crash. But according to the Highway Patrol, when he tried to get out of the car after the crash he grabbed a live power line from the damaged utility pole and was electrocuted.

Conn was killed when he grabbed the live power line. Miller was also burned by the live power line.

Miller was seriously injured in the crash and was flown to a Memphis hospital.
