CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – A Caruthersville man was arrested on several warrants during a traffic stop for no visible registration.
According to Caruthersville Police, 21-year-old Charles Houston, Jr., of Steele was arrested on municipal warrants for two counts of no operator's license, three counts of no proof of insurance, two counts of possession of marijuana, two counts of improper registration, driving while revoked, and two count of failure to appear.
Police said they found Houston while making a traffic stop on Route U. They said the driver was a 24-year-old female of Caruthersville who was driving on a revoked license; Houston was a rear passenger.
Houston is currently held at the Pemiscot County Justice Center in lieu of $2,500 cash bond.
The female driver was issued citations for driving while revoked and improper registration. She was released pending a court date set for Sept. 15.
