Police in Missouri arrest woman for assaulting a 59-year-old man

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT)- Police in Caruthersville have arrested a woman they say assaulted a man.

According to the Caruthersville Police Department, police were called by the victim, 59-year-old Clinton McIntyre of Hayti Wednesday night.  When police arrived they say McIntyre was bleeding from his head and face.  Police then say McIntyre told them he had been assaulted at the 500 block of East 1313th Street in Caruthersville.  The man was taken to the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, treated for his injuries and was released.

Police later arrested a 48-year-old black woman from Caruthersville for second degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.  The woman's bond was set at $35,000.  Police have not released the name of the woman.
