Razorbacks RB Dennis Johnson likely to miss second game

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino says

running back Dennis Johnson will likely miss Saturday's game with

New Mexico in Little Rock.

Johnson missed the No. 15 Razorbacks season-opening 51-7 win

over Missouri State with a hamstring injury suffered during fall

camp. The junior played in only two games last season before

suffering a season-ending bowel injury.

Arkansas (1-0) gained 102 yards rushing on 33 carries against

the Bears, an average of only 3.1 yards per rush. Junior Ronnie

Wingo led the team with 43 yards on 11 carries, while freshman Kody

Walker added a pair of touchdown runs.

Johnson has averaged 6 yards per carry during his career and was

expected to help fill the void left by the season-ending injury

suffered by Knile Davis.
