FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – Forrest City Police have say they have arrested a man without incident in the case of a July 18 residential burglary.

According to police, 18-year-old Stanley Alexander of 130 Cardinal Drive was arrested after allegedly burglarizing a home on 113 Cardinal Drive.

Investigators report that the belongings stolen from the home were valued at $800.00, and only $300.00 worth of the stolen items were ever recovered.

"This case was solved by Patrolman Jonathan Fought's attention to detail while processing the scene during the initial report and Det. Sgt. Mary Payne following up with the evidence and tracking the stolen items.  This was an excellent example of the team effort that officers with the police department use each day in all of their cases.  Another burglary suspect is off the street thanks to their efforts," says Police Chief E. P. Reynolds.

Alexander was charged with residential burglary and theft of property under $1,000. At the time of the report, he was being held in lieu of $25,000 bond and was scheduled for arraignment on Sept. 12.
