Ouachita Baptist senior Beth Wendl scored twice and added an assist as the Lady Tigers defeated Harding 3-0 on Friday in the first Great American Conference game for both teams.
Wendl's first goal came only seven minutes in, as she received a pass from Morgan Pitchford at the top of the 18-yard box, spun, and scored her second goal of the season. Wendl's pass set up Jessica Allen in the 16th minute to put Ouachita Baptist ahead 2-0.
Wendl scored her second goal of the game and third of the season in the 63rd minute on a cross from Allen.
Harding (1-1, 0-1) had two shots in the game, both on goal. Chelsea Brandon went one-on-one with the Ouachita Baptist goalkeeper Whitley Hoppe, who came out to make the save. Adriana Lucar also had a shot on goal in the second half.
Ouachita Baptist (2-0, 1-0) had 17 shots, nine on goal. Harding keeper Danielle Nonaka made six saves.
The Lady Bisons are back in action Tuesday at 8 p.m., against Drury in Springfield, Mo.
