FCPD arrests man on residential burglary and theft warrants

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – A Forrest City man was arrested on warrants for residential burglary and theft of property under $1,000 in connection with a Sept. 9 burglary.

According to Forrest City Police, Michael McCline, 40, was taken into to custody a few days after officers were notified of a man walking through the Rice/Mann Apartment Complex carrying a bag at 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 8.

When officers arrived, they say they found McCline without the bag, unsteady on his feet, and slurring his speech. When asked where the bag was, McCline told police that he had thrown the bag along with beer into a nearby trash dumpster when he saw them approaching.

Police were able to recover approximately 40 CDs and a 20" Acer computer monitor that was stolen on the same evening from the Beach Grove area.
