FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT)  - Police have arrested an 18-year-old Forrest City man after officers responded to a fight on Sept. 24.

Investigators say Eric Eugene Jones, Jr., was taken into custody two days after a fight erupted on the corner of Traylor and Roosevelt Streets around 5:50 p.m.

According to police, officers found Markee Earvin, 25, of Forrest City, bleeding with lacerations to his face while responding to call about the fight. Earvin was taken to a nearby hospital where police say he had to get approximately 65 stitches to repair the cuts and wounds to his nose, lips, and face.

On Sept. 26, police found a video on the internet of Earvin's assault, which enabled them to secure an arrest warrant for Jones. Jones was later found a block away from the site of the assault.

Jones was taken into custody without incident on 2nd degree battery. He is being held at the St. Francis County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond where he is awaiting arraignment on Wednesday.

While on the scene of the initial assault, police also say they arrested three juveniles on disorderly conduct charges.
