December 9, 2003 - Posted at 1:39 p.m. CDT

TRUMANN, AR - Columbia Forest Products in Trumann is expanding its operations in Trumann, and will soon have immediate openings for its second and third shifts.  Plant spokeswoman Barbara McClung said the company will initially add 14 new employees, with the possibility that that number could grow in the future.

Columbia Forest Products bills itself as North America's leading manufacturer of hardwood plywood, which is primarily used in products such as cabinetry and furniture.  The company has operated in Trumann since 1985, and has a current workforce of 154 employees.

Columbia will host a job fair on December 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Trumann Community Center at 100 Poinsett Avenue.  Interested applicants are encouraged to apply in-person at the job fair.
