WASHINGTON, DC (KAIT) – The US Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling almost 2,000 toy cars because of the violation of lead paint standards.
According to the CPSC, LM Import & Export is recalling about 1,900 toy cars because the surface paint on the cars contains excess levels of lead which is a violation of federal lead paint standards.
No injuries or incidents have been reported with this recall.
Consumers are asked to immediately take the toy cars away from children and return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
