LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ASU) — The Arkansas State women's cross country team finished 22nd in the upper division, while the men finished 29th in the middledivision at the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning at Tom Sawyer State Park.
Running first on the 5,000-meter course for the ASU women was senior Chelsea Weaver, who finished 45th out of 262 runners with a time of 18:00.55. Freshman Rexi Parcells finished 81st with a time of 18:21.98, with junior Samantha Salinas close behind in 87th place with a time of 18:23.25.
Leading the ASU men on the 8,000-meter course was junior David Mills, who finished 22nd with a time of 25:33.59. Mills was followed by freshman Luke Lindsley who finished 159th with a time of 26:54.32.
The ASU men's and women's cross country teams will compete again Oct. 15 at the 23rd annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
