GAC announces 2011-12 broadcast lineup

From the Great American Conference

The Great American Conference has announced its plans to broadcast the majority of the league's championship events during the 2011-12 athletic seasons through the conference website, greatamericanconference.com.

The GAC has partnered with JBM Productions of Little Rock, Ark. to create the GAC Sports Network, which will provide live video streaming coverage online at greatamericanconference.com at no cost to viewers worldwide. Each production will include views from multiple camera angles, a modern and viewer-friendly graphics package, as well as play-by-play and color commentary.

"We are excited to work with JBM Productions to provide high-quality streaming of all of GAC team championships," said GAC Commissioner Will Prewitt. "The video package will be among the very best in Division II, and will be a fantastic way to bring our championships into homes around the world via the web."

The 2011-12 broadcast schedule includes all games of the 2011 volleyball championship tournament, all games of the 2012 men's and women's basketball championship tournaments, and all games of the 2012 baseball and softball championship tournaments. In addition to those championship events, the GAC Sports Network will also broadcast the finals of the 2011 women's soccer championship tournament.

The GAC will conclude the 2011-12 broadcast schedule with the first-ever "GAC Night of Champions" on June 20, 2012, an event to honor all of the league's championship teams and award winners throughout the year. This will also be a time to recognize the league's academic all-conference teams as well as announce the male and female scholar athletes of the year. The GAC Night of Champions will air live online at greatamericanconference.com.
