Auburn's defense aims for encore performance at Arkansas

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - No. 15 Auburn's embattled defense still wants to prove it's not as bad as people think.

The Tigers are fresh off shutting down South Carolina tailback Marcus Lattimore, but now they're facing No. 10 Arkansas and the Southeastern Conference's most prolific offense and passing game.

Auburn defensive end LaDarius Owens says to really silence the critics "we've got to do it again" or their latest performance will be dismissed as a fluke.

The Tigers still rank last in the league in the major defensive categories. Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson is coming off a school-record 510 yards passing against Texas A&M, 281 of them going to Jarius Wright.

Auburn must change gears from defending the league's top runner to confronting its most dangerous passing attack.
