Police: Malden man busted for trafficking coke through Region 8 from Texas

MALDEN, MO (KAIT) – A Region 8 man is behind bars facing cocaine trafficking charges after police find large amounts of cocaine during a traffic stop.

According to the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, police in Mississippi County were tipped off about the trafficking of large amounts of cocaine by Texas authorities.

Arkansas State Police stopped 35-year-old Raymond G. Wilson, Jr., on northbound I-55 just south of Blytheville. A K-9 unit was brought in to search the vehicle, and found 10.5 ounces of powdered cocaine.

Wilson is from Malden, Missouri and was arrested after the stop. The Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is considering additional charges.
