CAMP ROBINSON, AR - Staff Sergeant Mark S. Mills (Arkansas Army National Guard) of Jonesboro has been named the Army Guard and Reserve Employee of the Year for Arkansas.

Mills is a supply sergeant at the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 875th Engineer Battalion, National Guard Readiness Center at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.  He was selected for the honor based upon his outstanding job performance, customer service, team building, work ethics and safety, according to a news release.  His attitude, contribution to the Guard, and community involvement also contributed to Mills winning the award.

Mills entered the Army National Guard in 1990 and was assigned to his current position in October of 1999.  As supply sergeant, Mills is responsible for more than $15 million of government equipment.

The Desert Storm veteran is a 1990 graduate of Valley View High School in Jonesboro.
