Steele Police searching for shooting suspect

STEELE, MO (KAIT) – Steele Police are looking for a suspect that say shot another man in the leg Friday night during a fight.

The shooting happened Friday October 7, around 11:30pm.

According to the Steele Police Department, they received a call of a man shot at 308 North First Street. When police arrived they found 23-year-old Aaron Jackson of Steele, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Witnesses told police that the two men got into a fight at a nearby party, and the suspect fired 6 shots at Jackson. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police have identified and are currently searching for the suspect, but has yet to release the name.
