Hayti man arrested for stabbing man in the neck

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KAIT) – Police in Pemiscot County have arrested a man they say stabbed another man in the neck.

The stabbing happened Sunday evening at 1210 State Highway J south of Hayti.

According to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, police responded to a shooting call but when they arrived they found a man stabbed in the neck.

Police say they arrested 41-year-old Larry McIntyre for stabbing Rodney Rowe in the neck with an object. Rowe was transported to the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital and later transported to The Med in Memphis. His condition is unknown at this time.

McIntyre is charged with assault in the first degree and armed criminal action. He is set to appear before a judge on Thursday October 13.
