OSCEOLA, AR - Osceola is beginning to feel the ripple effect of a decision by a Japanese auto parts producer to locate in the community.

Systex Products Corporation has announced it will build a manufacturing plant in Osceola to supply a plant to be built by Deson Corporation.

Denso will produce air conditioners and heavy equipment radiators for its North American customers at the Mississippi County plant, which will employ 500 workers when at full production.  The plant is to open in October 2004 and reach capacity in 2008.

The Systex plant is to open next fall, and the full 40 workers are expected to be in place by the end of 2007.  The plant will make injection-molded plastic parts for automotive heating and air conditioning systems.
