COPY-Ark. man pleads guilty to death of infant son

SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty in the death of his infant son in White County.

The Daily Citizen reports ( ) that 23-year-old Billy Joe Goff pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder charge. He is to be sentenced Nov. 1.

Three-month-old Joshua Wayne Goff was injured on Jan. 1 and taken to a hospital. An examination revealed the baby had a fractured skull.

Goff originally pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect but a mental evaluation pronounced him mentally fit.
