LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas emergency management officials say that they don't have any proof of threats against the state as the New Year's holiday approaches.
But state officials are taking extra security measures anyway with the nation's terror threat level at "Code Orange."
The director of the state Department of Emergency Management, Wayne Ruthven, said everybody should continue with their holiday plans and be assured the state and nation are doing everything they can to keep everyone safe.
Ruthven said Tuesday that, there was no credible information pointing to anyone targeting specific groups or facilities in Arkansas when the federal Department of Homeland Security raised the threat level to the second-highest stage.
