JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Two Craighead County men have pleaded guilty in the beating death of another man.

According to the Craighead County Prosecutor's Office, Doreus McKinney pleaded guilty to Battery in the third degree Friday in the beating death of 47-year-old William Horton. McKinney's charges were dropped from murder in the second degree to battery in the third degree, and was sentenced to 150 days in jail.

Two weeks earlier, Tyrone Hall pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Jonesboro Police say Horton was found unconscious at the corner of Woodrow and Church Street on Sunday October 16, 2011, after a witness called officers to report a fight.

Investigators say the witness reported seeing the men fighting with Horton before Horton fell to the ground. Horton was transported to a local hospital where he died a few days later.

Witnesses told police Horton was beaten by as many as three or four men and that there may have been three women from Blytheville present at the time.

No one else has been charged in Horton's death.
