AR Broadband Council gathers information across the state

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Most everyone now-a-days is online and a special council is hitting the road across Arkansas to gather information.

The Arkansas Broadband Council met at Arkansas State University's Delta Center. This is the first in a series of field meetings they'll be holding across the state. The public is invited to attend.

"We're gathering more information to give a better assessment to the governor's office and the legislature about what the state of broadband is in Arkansas. We also want to get a really good view from the providers about where they are right now and what their plans are going forward," said Katie Burns, who is the Arkansas Broadband Council Chair.

Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of every month.
