All Big 12 teams are in action during Week 9 with one BCS top 10 matchup as No. 9 Oklahoma travels to No. 8 Kansas State.
Ø Kansas State and Oklahoma State are among the eight teams still undefeated in 2011.
Ø The Big 12 is tied with a nation-leading six teams ranked in the Week 2 BCS standings: No. 3. Oklahoma State, No. 8. Kansas State, No. 9. Oklahoma, No. 16. Texas A&M, No. 20. Texas Tech and No. 24. Texas.
Ø The Big 12 has made 86 appearances all-time in the top 3 of the BCS standings - the most among all leagues.
Ø Texas leads the nation with 88 all-time BCS appearances while Oklahoma is fourth with 79.
Ø Big 12 quarterbacks continue to dominate nationally with six in the top 15 for NCAA total offense - all averaging over 300 yards a game. National leaders include No. 1 Seth Doege (Texas Tech), 381.29; No. 3 Robert Griffin III (Baylor), 374.17; No. 4 Landry Jones (Oklahoma), 373.00; No. 8 Brandon Weeden (Oklahoma State), 335.86; No. 11 Ryan Tannehill (Texas A&M), 317.14; and No. 15 James Franklin (Missouri), 302.43.
Ø The Big 12 tops all conferences with five QBs among the 16 finalists for the Davey O'Brien Award - Robert Griffin III (Baylor), Landry Jones (Oklahoma), Brandon Weeden (Oklahoma State), Ryan Tannehill (Texas A&M) and Seth Doege (Texas Tech).
Ø The visiting teams swept their games last Saturday in Big 12 action for the third time in Conference history. The other two occasions occurred on Oct. 14, 2000 and Nov. 22, 1997.
Ø Through 19 Big 12 games, the average score has been 45.7 to 25.7.
Ø Big 12 Players of the Week were awarded to: offense: Seth Doege (Texas Tech), defense: Shawn Lewis (Oklahoma State) and special teams: Tyler Lockett (Kansas State).
Ø Texas Tech was named the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Team of the Week. The Big 12 has picked up three honors this season and 22 all-time.
