Report reveals stronger home sales in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Realtor's Association reports strong home sales last month for the state.

The group said home sales were 10.28% higher than in 2010 while the average price of a home in the state increased by less than 1%.

The also reported for the quarter, home sales increased by 16% with the average price of a home decreasing almost 4%.

A statement made in the report by Amy Glover, Director of Communications for the group said that affordability and strong mortgage rates are helping out this years numbers, however, they do expect the numbers to slow down as we head toward the holiday season.
