JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) – In an effort to promote Saturday's home football game, which features the Sun Belt Conference leading Arkansas State Red Wolves and second-place Louisiana-Lafayette, Howl will be on the Prowl in various locations throughout Jonesboro and on campus this week.
On Thursday, Nov. 10 Howl will be delivering pizzas from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with players from the A-State football team to different business in Jonesboro in a show of appreciation for their continued support for ASU athletics.
Thursday night Howl will be at Target at The Mall at Turtle and the Wal-Mart on Highland Drive from 5:30-7:30 p.m. handing out prizes, t-shirts and license plates to fans wearing Red Wolf apparel. A few select fans will also receive tickets to Saturday's home football game.
"We feel this will be a great way for Howl to get out in the community and keep the excitement high for this weekend's football game," ASU Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions Gleen Hart said. "We want everyone in the community to show support for the Red Wolves all week and come out to the game on Saturday and cheer on the A-State football team."
Howl will be on the Prowl again Friday, Nov. 11 playing music with the A-State marching band to faculty and students on campus. He will also be at the Student Activities Board and Leadership Council's Spirit Day event from 10:45 a.m.-1 p.m. in front of Wilson Hall. Students will have an opportunity to go into a prize tent when they show their student identification card and spin the prize wheel.
In celebration of Hero Day on Saturday, Nov. 12, Howl will lead a parade of fire trucks, police cars and ambulances south on Caraway Road and then north on Stadium Boulevard. The parade will start at 10 a.m. and end at ASU Stadium.
