Doniphan sales tax does not pass

DONIPHAN, MO (KAIT)-  Voters in the city of Doniphan will not impose a new sales tax.

According to the Ripley County Clerk, Proposition One for a sales tax of one half of one percent (0.50%) for the purpose of funding capital improvements was voted down.

Of the 127 voters that took part, 62 voted yes while 65 people voted no.
