Harding's National Signing Day

Wednesday is one of the most exciting days on the college sports calendar—it's National Signing Day. Future Harding student-athletes can sign a National Letter of Intent in baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, and volleyball until next Wednesday, Nov. 16.


The national signing period for football, soccer, cross country, and track begins on Feb. 1, 2012.


Below are Harding's signees during this early period:

Men's Basketball

Nash Nelson, 6-1, 180, G, Colleyville, Texas, Heritage HS


Nelson averaged nine points and seven assists as a junior at Heritage High School … two-time honorable mention All-District 6-5A … Co-Defensive District 6-5A Most Valuable Player as a junior … led Heritage to a 27-8 record and Bi-District and Area championships last season.

Women's Basketball

Anna Strickland, 6-0, F, The Woodlands, Texas, The Woodlands HS


Strickland averaged 11.3 points and 9.8 rebounds as a junior at The Woodlands High School … three-time All-District and two-time Academic All-District, All-County and two-time team Offensive Player of the Year.

Jordie Launius, 5-11, MB, Cedar Park, Texas, Vista Ridge High School


Recorded 242 kills, 44 aces, 46 blocks and 86 digs in helping lead Vista Ridge High School to a 31-16 overall record last season … played club volleyball for Texas Eclipse.
