Highland School bus involved in accident; no kids on the bus

HIGHLAND, AR (KAIT) – Police in Highland is currently on the scene of a school bus and car accident.

According to Highland Police Chief Jeremy Stevens, a car was going eastbound on Highway 412 when it turned into the path of a school bus in front of the Highland Shopping Center.

Police tell Region 8 News there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident.

Chief Stevens said the female driver of the car was from Evening Shade, and was transported to a local hospital but her condition was unknown.
