Lawrence County officers bust meth labs during patrol

WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT)-  Officers in Lawrence County arrest two men after finding meth labs while on patrol.

According to the Walnut Ridge Police Department, an officer noticed some suspicious activity at a particular residence around SE Front and Carolina Streets on November 11th.  Police say as soon as the suspect saw the officer, he ran away from the residence.

The officer then made a call for assistance.  Walnut Ridge Police and Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies arrived to help investigate.  Officers say they found components of a meth lab in the area the suspect ran away from.  A second meth lab was located, according to officers, while searching for two more subjects in the area.

Police and deputies arrested Walnut Ridge natives Michael Nelson and George Bruton.  Both men were taken to the Lawrence County Jail.  The men face several charges including the possession and manufacturing of meth.
