Early morning fight at The Grove lands 5 in jail

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – An early morning fight at the Grove Apartments lands 5 people in jail on various charges.

According to Jonesboro Police, around 1am Friday they received a call about a large fight happening at the clubhouse at the Grove Apartments.

The police reports states that as many as 100 people had gathered in the area. A plain clothed police officer tried to break-up the fight, but was attacked and called for back-up. The plain clothed officer suffered minor injuries in the disturbance.

As more officers arrived, some in the crowd were combative and refused to leave the scene. A total of five people were arrested.

  • Stephon Watson was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, refusal to submit to arrest, and assault in the third degree.
  • Khrysten Dobbins was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to arrest.
  • Gerald Current was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
  • Ashley Davis was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to arrest.
  • Richard Brown was arrested and charged with failure to disperse.
