FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - An execution of a search warrant in Forrest City lands a resident behind bars in connection with recent vehicle break-ins.

According to the Forrest City Police Department, police executed a search warrant in the early morning hours of Friday at the residence of Eric Jones Jr., 18, of Forrest City. Investigators with the police department said they developed Jones as a suspect in a November 16 car break-in.

Jones was taken into custody on a felony warrant and police said evidence was recovered from the home of drug manufacturing along with other evidence to liking him to other crimes in the area.

Forrest City PD said additional charges are expected in connection with more vehicle break-ins in the city.

Jones was already out on bond from a September arrest in connection with an attack on a Forrest City that resulted in severe medical injuries to the victim.
