JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Three inmates that escaped from the Craighead County Jail on Wednesday night apparently climbed over 16 feet to get to freedom.

According to Craighead County Sheriff Jack McCann, the three men could be seen on surveillance video putting their backs against a wall in the shower and using their feet to crawl up the wall and into a small crawl space used for plumbing work.

McCann said the inmates were able to make their way from the crawl space to an exit on the side of the building, then scaled the chain-linked fence by throwing a blanket over the barbed wire.

The sheriff's department said the three men escaped just after 7 p.m. rounds on Wednesday night but it wasn't discovered that they were missing until an hour and a half later.

McCann said, deputies are searching for Jason Brown, Zachary Dunn and Korey Kitchen.

Jason Brown is described as a 5'7", 165 lb. white male. Brown is slender in build with blue eyes and blonde hair. He was in jail on arson charges.

Zachary Dunn is a 5'9", 170 lb. white male. Brown has a medium build with green eyes and brown hair. He was behind bars for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Korey Kitchen is a 6'1, 175 lb. white male. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Kitchen was in jail on Residential Burglary charges.

Police ask if you have any information on the whereabouts of Brown, Dunn or Kitchen, to call the Craighead County Sheriff's Office at (870) 933-4551.
