After the completion of the inaugural Great American Conference fall sports seasons, Harding University leads the league in the race for the 2011-12 All-Sports Trophy with a total of 22.5 points.
Harding received the full nine points in women's cross country after winning the conference championship on October 22. The Lady Bisons' volleyball squad finished the regular season in second place and added a runner-up finish at the conference championship tournament for a total of eight points.
The Harding football team finished in a tie for fourth place for 5.5 points.
Following Harding in second place is East Central with 20 points after finishing second in women's cross country (8 points), fifth in volleyball (5) and third in football (7).
Ouachita Baptist (19 points) and Arkansas Tech (18 points) represent the third and fourth spots in the all-trophy standings. OBU's football team won the inaugural conference championship for nine points, while the OBU volleyball squad finished fourth for six points. Arkansas Tech's volleyball team secured the 2011 conference tournament and regular season championships for nine points, while the Golden Suns' cross country squad finished third for seven points.
Southern Arkansas rounds out the top five with a total of 13.5 points after tallying six points in women's cross country, four points in volleyball and 3.5 points in football.
Henderson State (12 points), Southwestern Oklahoma State (11.5), Southeastern Oklahoma State (10) and Arkansas-Monticello (8) complete the fall standings for the GAC All-Sports Trophy.
