FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Former University of Arkansas basketball coach Nolan Richardson is among the recipients of an annual legacy award presented by the university.
Richardson is to take part in a public reception at 3 p.m. Monday at the school's multicultural center at the Arkansas Union. Recipients will be formally honored at a black-tie event in April
The award is named for Silas Hunt, an African-American student who was admitted to the UA law school in 1948. Richardson is 1 of 4 people to receive the award this year.
Richardson sued the university after his departure as basketball coach, though he and the school have since reconnected.
