Cargill announces dry dog food recall, several brands affected

(Minneapolis) (AP) – Cargill Animal Nutrition has announced a voluntary recall of River Run and Marksman brands of dry dog food.

The products were manufactured in the company's Lecompte, La., facility between Deccember 1, 2010 and December 1, 2011. No adverse health effects related to these products have been reported.

Products were sold in 15 states, including Missouri. The affected products are:

The recall only applies to the above products with the following lot numbers: 4K0335 through 4K0365 and 4K1001 through 4K1335.

Retailers have been instructed to remove the products from store shelves. Consumers are urged to return affected products to their place of purchase for a full refund.
