KENNETT, MO - Nine-time Grammy award winner Sheryl Crow will return to her Missouri Bootheel roots this Spring, as the keynote speaker at the 58th annual Kennett Chamber of Commerce Banquet.

Born in 1962,  the singer-songwriter grew up in Kennett, and began playing piano at age six.  Two of her earliest musical influences were her parents, who both played in local swing bands during her childhood.  Crow arrived in Los Angeles in 1986, where she began working as a session musician, working with artists like Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart.  She eventually signed a recording contract with A&M Records, launching her recording career with 1993's 'Tuesday Night Music Club.'

The Chamber banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. on April 12 at the American Legion Building in Kennett.  Tickets are $25 per person for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.  The Chamber is accepting reserved seating for businesses, industry or small groups.  Individual seating is also available on a non-reserved basis.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chamber office at 573-888-5828, or in-person at the Chamber office at 1601 First Street in Kennett.  The deadline to purchase tickets is March 15.
