Jason Green Released from Jail

JONESBORO, AR--One of the men charged in connection with the 1998 murders of the Elliot family in Dalton is out of jail and out the state.

K8 news has learned 26 year old Jason Green has been released from police custody and has moved to Wisconsin where his mother mary has been living since august.

The court order states that green should be released since his trial has been moved to September and he can't afford bail and is not considered a flight risk.

Jason Green is charged with two counts of hindering apprehension or prosecution, while his brother chad and father billy are each charged with four counts of capital murder and one count of kidnapping in the murders of Carl Allan Elliot and his family.

Jason is expected to testify against his brother and father and is required to be back in Randolph county for his brother's trial on March 1, 2004.
