Arkansas State finishes 3rd in USA Rugby 7's national championship

JONESBORO (KAIT) - The Arkansas State rugby team has seen plenty of success over the years. This weekend, the Red Wolves showed their skills in 7's against the nation, finishing 3rd overall.

Sevens is a variant of rugby in which teams are made up of seven players, instead of the usual 15, with shorter matches.

ASU played in the inaugural USA Rugby National Collegiate 7's Championship in College Station, Texas. The Red Wolves finished 3-0 in Pool A, beating Arkansas, Air Force, and Central Washington.
