BAXTER COUNTY, AR(KAIT)- A Baxter County Sheriff's deputy captured a fleeing suspectwanted on several warrants Thursday afternoon.
According to theBaxter County Sheriff's Office, Deputy William Altazan went to 170 County Road903 to look for 19-year-old Ryan James Lindsey. Lindsey was wanted by thesheriff's office on outstanding arrest warrants.
Officers say thedeputy made contact with Lindsey who then attempted to flee from him onfoot. Deputy Altazan caught Lindsey and took him into custody.
During theinvestigation deputies found out Lindsey were seen putting stolen sawed-off shotgunsinto James Wisniewski's vehicle. Police say Wisniewski then hid the gun in adog house at his residence. During a search warrant search of Wisniewski'shome, police also found other stolen items.
Wisniewski is chargedwith tampering with physical evidence and three counts of criminal use ofprohibited weapons. He was released from jail after posting a $15,000 bond andis set to appear in court again on January 5.
Lindseywas booked on the following charges:
- Failure to Appear in Court - Felony
- Failure to Appear in Court -Misdemeanor
- Contempt of Court - Misdemeanor
- Probation Violation - Misdemeanor
- Fleeing from an Officer - Misdemeanor
- Tampering with physical evidence -Felony
- Three counts of Criminal use ofprohibited weapons - Felony
He is being heldwithout bond and will appear in circuit court on December 29th and indistrict court on January 17th.
