Kelcie McCray & Tom Castilaw bowl blogs will be featured on

JONESBORO (ASU) – A daily blog with senior center Tom Castilaw and senior safety Kelcie McCray will be featured this week on, the official Web site of ASU Athletics, leading up to the Bowl, allowing Arkansas State fans to keep up with the Red Wolves through a player's perspective during their time in Mobile, Ala.

Both Castilaw and McCray will give their thoughts at the end of each day, Jan. 4-7, about both their personal and the team's experiences with practices and other various events associated with the bowl game.  The blog will be found on both the home page and football page of

Castilaw was on the Rimington Award Watch List this year and was a First Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection, starting every game at center for ASU's offense that broke the school record for total offense.  He is part of ASU's line that has led the way for an offense ranked No. 1 in the Sun Belt and No. 23 in the nation in total offense with over 450 yards per game.  He has also helped pave the way for ASU's scoring attack ranked No. 1 in the Sun Belt and No. 26 in the nation with 33.5 points per game.

The Flower Mound, Texas, native was also a 2010 Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference choice and has started 26 of his last 27 games played.

Like Castilaw, McCray was also a 2011 First Team All-Sun Belt Conference pick who started every game this season.  He finished the regular season tied for second in interceptions (4), tied for 10th in passes defended (8) and tied for 31st in tackles (5.2 pg) in the Sun Belt.  He is also ranked tied for 22nd in the nation in interceptions.

The Columbus, Ga., native's four interceptions this year ties his total for his sophomore season and gives him 10 for his career.  His 62 tackles is the second most on ASU's defense that ranks No. 1 in the SBC in both total defense and scoring defense.  McCray recorded a season-high 10 tackles against Virginia Tech and posted at least five tackles in six games.

McCray was also named a Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week and a CFPA National Honorable Mention Defensive Back of the Week this year.
