SeMo Guardsmen Bound for Iraq Began Deployment Monday

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO - About 400 National Guard members from southeast Missouri depart today on their first leg of a one-year deployment to Iraq.  The 1140th Engineer Battalion gathers this morning at the Guard armory in Cape Girardeau, and heads for some additional training at Fort Riley, Kansas, before being shipped overseas this month.
