Police: Man arrested after trying to steal from Entergy

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – A Forrest City man has been arrested in connection with three separate thefts reported.

According to Forrest City Police, Cleo Cody, 22, of Forrest City has been arrested and charged with theft of Property Under $1,000 in connection with three different thefts reported at Entergy, located on 904 Purifoy Street. Police say the thefts happened on May 19, 2010, June 6, 2011, and September 26, 2011. 

Police say that Cody entered the fenced property each time and took metal from the lot and vehicles parked inside.

Officers were able to recover some of the stolen metal during the June 6 theft.

Cody faces one year in jail and up to a $1,000 fine for each of the three charges.
