Juveniles arrested and charged as adults in Forrest City burglaries

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT)-  The Forrest City Police Department has released the names of three 16 year-olds who have been arrested as adults in connection with several burglaries in the city.  The names released by Forrest City Police are as follows:

Nautica Gardner was charged as an adult for:

  • Residential Burglary in Forrest Hills, November 2011
  • Attempted Commercial Burglary at Broadway Grocery, January 19
  • Residential Burglary at North Izard Street, January 25

Gardner was out on commercial bond from the November burglary.

Shyheim Brittnum was charged as an adult for:

  • Attempted Residential Burglary at Beech Grove Drive, January 24
  • Residential Burglary at North Izard Street, January 25

Darin Bass Jr. was charged as an adult for:

  • Attempted Commercial Burglary at Broadway Grocery, January 19
  • Residential Burglary that occurred on January 23
  • Attempted Residential Burglary at Beech Grove Drive, January 24

Police Chief Edward Reynolds said the names of the juveniles were allowed to be released because of state law due to their "felonious acts".
