JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Shovels of dirt were lifted at the site that will soon treat cancer patients.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the NEA Baptist Center for Cancer Care Thursday afternoon at 4808 East Johnson Avenue. The new facility well be constructed on the northwest corner of the new 80 acre medical campus.
Hospital officials say the 34,000-square-foot center will be the only one of its kind in Northeast Arkansas. It will house all the components of cancer care, from diagnosis to chemotherapy treatments and radiation.
The NEA Baptist Center for Cancer Care is scheduled to open by June 2013.
