Missing child found with mother in Poplar Bluff

IZARD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The child who was picked up from her school by her non-custodial mother Tuesday afternoon has been found.

According to the Izard County Sheriff's Office, the child and her mother were found in Poplar Bluff by the Poplar Bluff Police Department.

According to authorities, everything is fine.

IZARD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Sheriff Tate Lawrence is asking for the public's help in finding a missing girl.

According to the sheriff, Kathy Price of Poplar Bluff picked up her 9-year-old daughter from Calico Rock school to take her to the doctor's office.

Sheriff Lawrence says they never made it. Price, who also goes by the name Kathy Canaday, does not have custody of the child.

She's said to be driving a four-door, purple Saturn with Missouri tags. Sheriff Tate says she may be heading to Missouri.

If you know their whereabouts, you're asked to contact your local police.
